Crude Coconut Oil (CCO) is a natural, 100% vegetable-based oil extracted from the dried kernel (copra) of mature coconuts. Golden-yellow in color with a distinctive coconut aroma, CCO is semi-solid at room temperature and valued for its high lauric acid content and medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), similar to palm kernel oil.
At Mars Oleochemicals, we supply high-quality, unrefined crude coconut oil sourced directly from trusted plantations in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Our Crude Coconut Oil meets international quality standards and is ideal for global manufacturers across a wide range of industries.
Crude Coconut Oil is a key raw material for oleochemicals, including fatty acids, esters, and surfactants. It is widely used in soap manufacturing, personal care products, biodiesel, animal feed, and food-grade applications. It can be refined into RBD Coconut Oil for further industrial use or used as-is in natural formulations.
Mars Oleochemicals ensures consistent supply and purity, making our CCO the preferred choice for businesses seeking reliable and sustainable vegetable oil solutions.
Applications : Oleochemicals, soaps, cosmetics, food additives, animal feed, and biofuels.
Crude Coconut Oil is from 100% Natural Tropical Vegetable Origin from Malaysia and Indonesia.

Source : Crude Coconut Oil (CCO) is extracted from the dried kernel (copra) of mature coconuts, sourced from the coconut palm tree (Cocos nucifera). Unlike virgin coconut oil derived from fresh coconut meat, CCO is obtained through drying and pressing the copra, resulting in an oil rich in lauric acid and natural lipids.
Extraction : The process starts by drying coconut meat to reduce moisture to 6–8%, forming copra. This copra is then mechanically expeller-pressed or solvent-extracted to obtain crude coconut oil. The oil is filtered but remains unrefined, preserving its natural aroma and golden-brown to pale yellow appearance.
Composition : CNO is rich in medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), especially lauric acid, which accounts for up to 50% of its composition. It has a semi-solid consistency at room temperature, a strong coconut scent, and a high saponification value, making it ideal for soap and surfactant production.
Processing : Crude Coconut Oil is minimally processed in its raw form. It may undergo refining to produce RBD Coconut Oil (Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized), used in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical applications. Fractionation further allows for the separation of liquid (olein) and solid (stearin) components for targeted industrial use.
Refining : To suit food and cosmetic-grade standards, CCO is refined to eliminate impurities, odors, and color. This enhances shelf life and makes the oil suitable for sensitive applications. Refined Coconut Oil is commonly used in soap noodles, haircare products, creams, and oleochemical derivatives.
Coconut Oil is used in processed foods such as bakery fats, confectionery, coffee creamers, and dairy alternatives due to its stability, mild flavor, and nutritional profile. It is also favored for frying thanks to its high smoke point.
Its high lauric acid content makes it an essential raw material in the production of fatty acids, methyl esters, glycerin, soaps, and surfactants. It’s widely applied in the cosmetics, personal care, and hygiene industries.
Coconut cake, the residue after oil extraction, is used as a protein-rich animal feed ingredient. Coconut Oil may also be included in high-energy livestock feed formulations.
As a renewable, plant-based oil, Coconut Oil supports sustainability goals in the biofuel, biolubricant, and biopolymer industries. Its chemical stability and biodegradability make it an eco-friendly choice for green manufacturing.
